Le Carezze winery is a dream dated back to 25 years ago and finally come true.
In 1994 our family bought 30 hectares of land with orchard plants bred by the conventional system.
In three years, unable to accept chemical treatments, we have grubbed up all the orchards and started to create an environment with a high biodiversity.
40,000 tall trees have been planted (oaks, ash trees, hornbeams, alders, megaleppi, maples, etc.) and 4 hectares of woods, tree-lined paths, ponds and hills with Tuscan black cypresses have been created.
In 2015 the territory was eventually suitable to allow the noble and demanding cultivation of vineyards along with the cellar.
The latest 10,000 vines being planted are the result of a selection of plants resistant to downy mildew and Oidium. The aim has been the one of avoiding the use of sulfur and copper.
Our vines include varieties of Malvasia, Palava, Sauvignon Kretos, Cabernet Volos and Merlot.
The goal of producing noble, high quality wines and respecting the tradition, given the reviews of restaurant owners, wine shops and direct customers, has been reached according to us.
